1. What is the MIF show?
It's THE meeting between the public and more than 1000 exhibitors who proudly have their products manufactured in France.
MIF simply means Made in France.
The opportunity to discover many brands which will perhaps inspire you to change your outlook on your way of consuming if you have not already done so and to discover the wealth of know-how of our country.
The show has created several worlds to bring together the different exhibitors, so you can go to the Gastronomy, Fashion and Accessories, Beauty, Decoration, Children, Tourism, etc. areas.
Also discover the Ephemeral Factory, a space of more than 1400m² allowing you to witness different stages of manufacturing of 13 everyday consumer products: socks, toothbrushes, scooters, jeans... a sort of mini factory for demonstrations of direct manufacturing.
Plan your day to make the most of it, you will be amazed.
Catering is planned on site but I heard it’s not crazy, take your sandwich 😉
2. Who is behind the show?
The Salon du Made in France was created by Fabienne Delahaye in 2012.
Its initial objective was to combat a system which systematically outsources and which results in the disappearance of know-how and jobs...
Each year, it awards prizes with its jury to encourage and give visibility to companies which have stood out, in the form of 4 awards: Entrepreneur Prize, Innovation Prize, Environment Prize and Prize public.
During the first edition in 2012, the show welcomed 70 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors.
The Show was inaugurated by Arnaud Montebourg, then Minister of Productive Recovery.
This gives great visibility to the Made in France Show, so much so that many people think that Arnaud Montebourg is its founder.
The beginnings are difficult, like any entrepreneurial adventure, and the Show only becomes profitable in the 5th edition.
For the 10th edition in 2022, the Made in France Show broke all records: 900 exhibitors, 100,000 visitors and more than 1,200 press coverage.
This year, for the 11th edition of the Salon du Made in France, more than 1000 exhibitors will make your eyes shine and for our part, we can't wait to experience this unique gathering of its kind!
3. Who organizes the show?
The show is organized by an exclusively female team, which calls itself “the girls of MIF”.
I have been in contact with them many times because participating in the show for the first time I had thousands of questions.
Very friendly and efficient, I was able to prepare the show with as much information as possible.
8 exceptional women working full time to market, organize and communicate the Made in France Show.
It doesn't seem like it but a show needs to be prepared well in advance and it's better to activate your practical sense.
I am ready to welcome you on stand A29!!
4. Why come to the salon
Essential question!
And here are some of the answers that seem most relevant to me:
- In November, the weather forces us to stay indoors, so why not go out to the MIF show to clear our minds?
- Discover all the richness and diversity of French know-how, to be protected!
- Meet artisans, entrepreneurs, be inspired by their history, understand their challenges
- With Christmas approaching, it's an opportunity to start giving your gifts, in the nicest way possible: by supporting our French businesses, by consuming locally. Be warned: there will be nuggets, not found in stores or eshops!
- And to meet us of course! I am immensely delighted to finally be able to speak with you in person!
5. Geopelia at the MIF Show
An unmissable event for start-ups, the Salon du Made in France has been on our radar since the launch of our fitness and yoga clothing brand.
We are so proud to finally be able to participate this year alongside certain competing sports and fitness clothing brands, of course, but which we consider more as allies against evil and overconsumption.
Our small 4m² stand is located just after the entrances, near the Labonal socks or Cocorico ready-to-wear stand.
The opportunity for us to have you try on in our iconic foldable cabin (you will understand on site) our classic leggings and fitness and yoga bras, available in brand new patterns, specially designed for the event.
Also come and try our new HIRONDELLE Harem Pants, our new MÉSANGE bra and choose your next eco-responsible fitness or yoga outfit.
There will also be the HÉRON navy blue sweatshirt in preview, from our collaboration with Ariane @yogacoaching
I will be there to advise you ;-)
